Altered books are back, baby! Join Dina Wakley for a two-day class where we'll prepare a book for altering and then make some art in the book. Expressive and fun, you will love turning an old book into an art object. We will use lots of glosses, paints, stamps, stencils, and more.
Thursday, August 1st and Friday, August 2nd 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (with a 30 minute break for lunch)
Cost: $335
Please bring:
· Basic tool kit: Ranger craft sheet, scissors, paint brushes, mini blending tool and foams, water sprayer, Archival black ink pad and acrylic block, paint pens like Posca, water container to clean your brushes, baby wipes, paper towels, paper plate or palette paper to use as a palette (or you can just use your craft sheet). Optional but really nice to have: Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher and staples. You may also want a small notebook and a pen for taking notes.·
· A book to alter. It doesn't have to be old, just a book you are willing to cut, tear, and paint!
